NKRG is now accepting applications for 2009-2010 executive positions. For those who are interested, please send in a resume/C.V. and a statement of interest to our email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or to our mailbox at Munk. Application deadline is April 18th 2009. If you have any questions about the positions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We are recruiting 2 co-presidents , 1 director of administration, 2 directors of communications, 1 director of finance and 1 webmaster. Below is a brief description of the duties for each of the executive position.

 

Co-president (2)

Duties of the co-president entail:

  • Working cooperatively with the other co-president in guiding and operating the activities of the NKRG
  • Attending all meetings of the Executive Board
  • Providing an annual report on the activities of the NKRG to the Advisory Board
  • Liaising and exploring possibilities for the continued success of the NKRG
  • Creating a portfolio of his/her experiences, responsibilities, and contacts to be given to the next co-president in order to facilitate a smooth transition
  • The term of the co-president will be for one year, renewable to a maximum of three years with re-application to the Advisory Board

 

Director of Administration (1)

Duties of the director of administration entail:

  • Arranging and attending all the meetings of the Executive Board
  • Taking down minutes of each meeting
  • Administering all internal coordination in the NKRG
  • Taking joint responsibility for coordinating and facilitating events and activities of the NKRG
  • Creating a portfolio of his/her experiences, responsibilities, and contacts to be given to the next Director in order to facilitate a smooth transition
  • The term of the Director will be for one year, renewable to a maximum of two years with application to the co-president and the Advisory Board

 

Directors of Communications (2)

Duties of the directors of communications entail:

  • Attending all meetings of the Executive Board
  • Taking responsibility in keeping in contact with members and individuals of interest
  • Disseminating NKRG activities to members and individuals of interest through various means
  • Taking responsibility for all external coordination and promotion of the NKRG including matters of public relations
  • Taking joint responsibility for coordinating and facilitating events and activities of the NKRG
  • Creating a portfolio of his/her experiences, responsibilities, and contacts to be given to the next Director in order to facilitate a smooth transition
  • The term of the Director will be for one year, renewable to a maximum of two years with application to the co-president the Advisory Board

 

Director of Finance (1)

Duties of the director of finance entail:

  • Attending all meetings of the Executive Board
  • Taking responsibility for the financial records of the NKRG
  • Advising the Executive Board on the financial situation of the NKRG
  • Taking joint responsibility for coordinating and facilitating events and activities of the NKRG
  • Searching for potential sources of funding
  • Creating a portfolio of his/her experiences, responsibilities, and contacts to be given to the next Director in order to facilitate a smooth transition
  • The term of the Director will be for one year, renewable to a maximum of two years with application to the co-president and the Advisory Board

 

Webmaster (1)

Duties of the webmaster entail:

  • Updating and maintaining the NKRG website
  • Attending all meetings of the Executive Board
  • Working in conjunction with the Director of Communications and the Director of Administration to best administer the NKRG website
  • Creating a portfolio of his/her experiences, responsibilities, and contacts to be given to the next Director in order to facilitate a smooth transition
