North Korea Research Group

The North Korea Research Group (NKRG) is a dynamic student organization made up of University of Toronto undergraduate and graduate students which is dedicated to the study of North Korea.

Our research takes a multi-disciplinary approach to North Korea in the hopes of fostering comprehensive, in-depth awareness about the complexities of the Korean peninsula and surrounding region.

Under the directive of an advisory board of specialists, the NKRG believes such a dedicated multi-disciplinary study of North Korea will, through initiatives such as seminars and academic reports, be able to:

1. Collect and make accessible information regarding the region;
2. Research and study the region and all parties involved; and
3. Disseminate research material which foster mature discussion and debate among academics, students, and the public.
